One of the leading groups in the small scale sector, Pragya Equipments Pvt Ltd, had filed a suit against the Man Industries of Pit

Decision Awarded against Man Industries (I) Ltd. under the MSMED Act 2006

21th August 2010. One of the leading groups in the small scale sector, Pragya Equipments Pvt Ltd, had filed a suit against the Man Industries of Pithampur under the MSMED Act 2006 in the MSME Facilitation Council. The suit filed against had specified the Man Industries to pay the company with the outstanding amount of Rs. 57.50 lacs along with the interest thereon Rs. 88.30 lacs (Till 29.05.2010) but despite the order from the council, the company has not paid-off the outstanding amount of Rs. 1 crore 46 lacs.
It is worth noting that the Pragya Equipments Pvt Ltd, in 2004-05 had supplied Man Industries with machinery worth Rs. 1.25 crores for its pipe plant, of which Rs. 57.5 lacs still stands unpaid by the Man Industries (I) Ltd. Even after repeated reminders by the Pragya Equipments, the company has not taken any positive action on the matter.
In 2007, Pragya Equipments filed their papers for issue of notification against Man Industries to the MSME Facilitation Council on the issue. MSME Facilitation Council setup by the small-scale industrial Ministry of the Central Government to safeguard the rights of the small industries, declared their decision in favor of the Pragya Equipments, on 2nd July 2010, after careful and comprehensive scrutiny into the matter and completing the legal formalities. Owing to the decision, the Council has ordered to Man Industries to pay Pragya Equipments within 30 days, an amount of Rs. 1,45,79,157 that includes the outstanding principle amount along with the interest on outstanding amount to the date. But overlooking the order, Man Industries has still not made with the payment. The amount stands at Rs. 1.52 crores to the day including further interest from 29.05.2010 to till date.
Mr. Lakhmi Chand Tolani, CMD, Pragya Equipments Pvt Ltd said, “Even after the decision of paying us with the outstanding amount along with the interest, the company has not paid it to us, and we have once again approached the Council requesting for taking further action. Man Industries, like the other small-scale industries had proposed us to settle the account with half the amount. Many small industries of the state have to struggle for settling their accounts with various corporations, companies and societies. We with the help of this press conference would like to tell our comrades of small industries that the Indian Government has setup this MSME Facilitation Council that safeguards our interests and that its operations in the state are being carried out pervasively and actively. There is no time constraint to file in our complaints and that outstanding amounts of howsoever old cases of any duration or time frame can be filed”.

ZEE TV Bhaiyyas and Didis celebrates “Rakshabandhan” with Love …!

ZEE TV Bhaiyyas and Didis celebrates “Rakshabandhan” with Love …!

Rakshabandhan is a day that one wants to leave everything aside and rush home to your brother or sister, just to show them you care! Here’s a look at what some of your favorite Zee TV celebrities are up to this Raksha Bandhan …

Sushant Rajput (Manav of Pavitra Rishta) – I have 4 elder sisters, so you can well imagine how much mithaai I get force-fed on Raakhi day. I always thought I’d turn diabetic with the amount of laddoos and kaju katris and halwa that was thrust down my throat! This year will probably be the first year I’ll not be at home for Rakhi, so I’m going to feel rather nostalgic. As a kid, I was rather scared of the day. After all it’s any boy’s nightmare to have pretty girls come up and tie you a rakhi! (smiles)

Iqbal Khan (Rudra of Sanjog se Bani Sangini) – Well, we don’t traditionally celebrate rakshabandhan at home but I have not one, but two Raakhi sisters. Producer Ratna Sinha has tied me a rakhi for the last 2 years. We share a really warm rapport! Another extremely close friend who I’ve always looked upon as a sister is Kismet Ahluwalia, she’s a journalist with NDTV Profit, based out of New York. Not a single year has gone by that she hasn’t sent me a Raakhi! When I was much younger in school, I had a lot of girls tying me rakhis … as we grew up, we grew out of that habit too somehow! (chuckles and winks)

Kratika Sengar (Jhansi Ki Rani)– My brother’s a complete cutie … He’s 6 yrs younger! I have always bullied him and I’m sure I’ll continue to do that until we’re both really old! There was this one time when we were both very young and I was standing on the edge of a cliff. It was not a great height thankfully, just about 12 feet or so … my brother playfully kicked me off the cliff and I ended up hurting myself pretty nasty! He kept crying until I got better because he felt really guilty. Strangely, we bonded over this incident a lot and grew closer. In all my tiffs with parents, he always stands by me. He stays in Delhi at the moment but since I’ll have no break from the shoot schedule, he’ll come & join me in Mumbai!

Ratan Rajput (Lali of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo) – After giving birth to 5 daughters of which I was the fifth, my mother gave birth to a son … my darling brother! So we all love him a lot … he’s the apple of our eyes! You would typically imagine that the brother is the focus of attention on Raksha Bandhan at every home, but being the youngest sister in the family, I always hogged the limelight and was pampered with gifts! Apart from my own brother, I have been tying a rakhi to Jay Soni (actor) for the last 2 years. He’s family to me!

Abhishek Rawat (Shekhar of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo) - As kids, Raksha Bandhan to me was all about mum waking us up early, packing us off to the bathroom for a shower at an ungodly hour … My sister being younger to me, mum used to make her touch my feet. So it made me feel all grown up and responsible! Today, my sister stays in Lucknow. Given the crazy schedule one keeps, there’s no way I ever manage to make it to her place on the day of Raksha Bandhan. So we helpless souls make the day special for each other by sending across a Rakhi & a gift through the post. We round it off with a longish chat on telephone!

Yashpal Sharma (The evil Kuwar of Mera Naam karegi Roshan) – Both my sisters stay in Punjab. In the days that I studied in Delhi, there was an All-India bandh and I was extremely keen to get home for Raksha Bandhan. It usually took me just 4 hours to reach Hisar (Haryana) but with practically no modes of transport plying, it took me a good 12 hours to get home. I traveled in trucks, bullock-carts and tempos to get home but it was every bit worth the effort when my sisters treated me to all the delicacies they’d cooked for me!

Neil Bhatt (Abhi of 12/24 Karol Bagh)- Shikha my sister is a complete darling. My sweetest memories of our time together include the nights before our most crucial exams. We’d both make it a point to literally be there for each other, make chai or maggi for each other, ensure that we don’t fall asleep and keep studying through the night. These are small things but warm your heart when you think back about them years later. This Rakshabandhan, I’ll make it a point to spend some quality time with her!
